We are actively spreading awareness about butterflies, especially those that have recently been placed on the world’s endangered species list. Our mission is to share our plants, from our garden to yours; so that every human can enjoy seeing firsthand, one of nature’s most amazing life cycles.
The garden is a labyrinth in the shape of a giant butterfly. Filled with flowers from native plants of southern Florida, an exceptional experience, full of colors, music, information, and art.
The “Save the Monarch” foundation is a Miami-based organization, committed to saving butterflies and promoting awareness and educating the public on butterflies from our region: The Atala, Swallowtail, Monarch and Miami Blue. ‘
One Home, One Plant at A Time’ Our mission statement represents our objective to assist individuals and families with the information, and vegetation to start their own butterfly gardens.
The goal is to promote the planting and protection of host plants in our communities, to attract butterflies by providing them food and shelter, contributing to their biological cycle.
We would like to emphasize that what the Matheson family has done to continue the spirit of conservation at Crandon Park is greatly appreciated. We support the concept by maintaining the balance of the ecosystem in the park and adding as much life as possible.
